Low range and throughput comparing with 5GHz due to poor design. jjonsson wrote: I was testing around 850 Mbps. I hope that this was just some measurement or installation error. If not, then Ignitenet should stop pushing the Metrolinq as a 1 Gbps product. jjonsson wrote: I don't know how well PtMP 60 GHz will work. But if I can connect lets say 10 clients within 0 - 500 meters and they share 850 Mbps on a sector, I can compete with the high speed fiber connections we see in some areas.... You can't. It only supports a maximum of 8 clients and it's still real iffy whether it will work reliably at 500 meters. Furthermore you'll have to be able to hit all customers with a 30 degree sector which can be challenging. jjonsson wrote: Yes, we can discuss if people need that kind of speed. ===== Point MP ===== * https://helpcenter.engeniustech.com/hc/en-us/articles/235454228--Deploying-a-Point-to-Multi-Point-Backhaul-Network * https://www.fluidmesh.com/point-to-multipoint-wireless/ ===== Antenna ===== Ubiquiti Airmax AC MIMO 19dBi 5GHz 120° AM-5G19 https://www.ubnt.com/airmax/airmax-sector-antenna/
