No IP

Static IP

Checklist:

  • ip-mac-hostname is reserved in pfsense
  • cloudinit: domain and dns server is set to pfsense subnet gw

Pfsense ddns will take care of DNS.

DHCP

  • cloudinit: ip=dhcp (no gw information)
